Description: Presentation of medals to ex-members of the Queensland Police Force, Petrie Terrace, 1909. Presentation of Imperial Service Medals to nine ex-members of the Queensland Police Force by his Excellency the Governor - one of the last public functions to be attended by Lord Chelmsford. (Description supplied with photograph.) The uniformed men wearing white helmets are members of the Queensland Police Force. The two storey building on the right, a hotel, is on the corner of Petrie Tce and Caxton St.
