Description: Marble statue of a Julio-Claudian prince. The head and the cuirass were joined in modern times. The head, made in 5 BCE-14 CE, probably depicts prince Gaius Caesar (the grandson of the Roman Emperor Augustus who died in 4 CE). The torso of the statue represents a general from the Flavian imperial dynasty; made in 69-90 CE. Acquired in Paris in 1865 CE. Altes Museum, Berlin.
