Description: Summersville Dam is the second largest rock-fill dam in the eastern US. Originally built between 1960 and 1966 to control flooding of the Gauley River, hydrolectric generating capability was added to the dam in 2001. Photo taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 in Nicholas County, WV, USA.
