Description: St. George's Church, Belfast. The famous facade, a portico made to order in Egypt for a IV Earl of Bristol's bishop's palace at Ballyscullion, nr Derry (1787), not long after demolished. To reach it's new home at to its new home as the facade of the Chapel of the Ford in Belfast, the portico was hauled by horse & cart to Lough Neagh. From there it went by barge, reputedly the first barge cargo brought to Belfast from Lough Neagh by the new Lagan Canal Navigation (now disused).
