Description: Tiffield Pocket Park Tiffield Pocket Park consists of the approximately 1km long John Mawby trail constructed on the trackbed of the former Blisworth - Broom Junction railway. The land was purchased by John Mawby, a local businessman, in the 1960s after the railway had closed, as a refuge for wildlife. In 2001 the Tiffield Pocketeers agreed terms to rent and manage the site. The wide variety of flora and fauna is listed on a notice at the entrance to the park. On the date of this photograph, the winter sunshine failed to penetrate the deep cutting making it a still and gloomy place.
