Description: A Paddle (gray) divides a sealed Chamber (semicircle) and attaches to a Shaft driving the vehicle's Windscreen Wipers. Manifold Vacuum (blue) lowers pressure on one side of the Paddle as Atmospheric Pressure (red) presses on the other, creating a force and resulting in motion of the Paddle. As the Paddle reaches the end of its stroke, the Slide Valve (green) moves to its alternate position, reversing the motion.
