Description: The remote Buck Fork Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains, looking west from Tricorner Knob (appx. 100 feet below the summit). Buck Fork, which is part of the Little Pigeon River watershed, slices between two massive ridges— Guyot Spur to the north (right in the photo) and Chapman Lead to the south (left in the photo). The appx. elevation of the overlook along the Appalachian Trail is 6,000 feet/1,829 meters.
