Description: U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Tom Combs, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter pilot assigned to Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, Alaska, gives Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell a tour of the helicopter hangar at Coast Guard Forward Operating Location Barrow, Alaska, July 23, 2012. Two helicopters with supporting air, ground and communications crews were moved 900 miles north from Kodiak to Barrow to support the summer operational phase of the Arctic Shield 2012. Arctic Shield is a U.S. Coast Guard-directed exercise in conjunction with federal, state and tribal officials designed to test the Spilled Oil Response System as well as strengthen law enforcement and search-and-rescue capabilities in the Arctic regions of Alaska.
