Description: Applegate Dam on the Applegate River in Jackson County, Oregon. The dam impounds Applegate Lake on the river. The lake is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) long and extends upriver nearly to the California border. The dam is located approximately 23 miles (37 km) (straight line) west-southwest of Ashland, Oregon in the Siskiyou Mountains of southern Oregon.
