Description: CAMP TAJI, Iraq - Forty-one Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, raise their right hands during a re-enlistment ceremony held at Fire Base Mayhem here, Oct. 4. Lt. Col. Eric Schwegler, commander of the 1st Bn., 82nd FA Regt., administered the oath of enlistment to the Soldiers. "Almost to the letter, every one of these Soldiers joined the Army after this nation was at war," said Schwegler, of Ozark, Ala. "We're still a nation at war and here they stand and raise their right hand." A total of 83 Soldiers in the "Dragon" Battalion have re-enlisted in the fiscal year 2008-09.
