Description: Gulf Coast (Oct. 26, 2005) - Electronics Technician 1st Class Matthew Ammons, a diver assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit Two (MDSU-2), is fitted with a Kirby Morgan 37 Dive Helmet, one of the Navy's newest dive helmets which is resistant to contaminated underwater environments. MDSU-2 is currently working in the Gulf Coast area as part of Hurricane Katrina search and relief efforts. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations are being led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
