Image: Unused punch card from UIC
Description: This unused 80 column punch card comes from the University of Illinois at Chicago (then University of Illinois at Chicago Circle). Its design demonstrates that a card could have just about anything printed on it, such as logos, which did not interfere with the mechanics of reading or punching cards. This card had been used as a bookmark and sat undisturbed for over 30 years. The slight diagonal crease was accidentally made during handling.
