Description: Upper Fremont Glacier is on the north slopes of Fremont Peak (Wyoming), in the Fitzpatrick Wilderness of Shoshone National Forest, Wyoming, U.S. The glacier is one the highest altitude glaicers in the American Rockies and has been one of a select few glaciers that are part of a United States Geological Survey glacial ice core study. Note the Bergschrund is clearly visible.
