Description: Chart of total rail passenger trips in millions for each financial year from 2004 to 2018 for Victorian rail operator V/Line. The chart also shows line totals for each of the five V/Line commuter lines. Note that long-distance rail patronage is included in the total for each commuter line: that is, Warrnambool passengers are counted in the Geelong line total; Ararat and Maryborough in the Ballarat total; Swan Hill and Echuca in the Bendigo total; Shepparton and Albury in the Seymour total; and Bairnsdale in the Traralgon total. The data is sourced from V/Line annual reports in the period; the chart was created with Microsoft Excel.
