Description: This photo was taken from Hobart's Domain around 1860 by Thomas J. Nevin and Constable John (Jack) Nevin at H.M. Gaol. It looks west towards West Hobart with Brisbane Street clearly visible in the bottom right of the photograph and Campbell Street (obscured by buildings) running along the front wall of the Gaol. The Gaol was demolished in the 1960s, although the Penitentiary building still stands
