Description: German soliders during World War One form a Schrammel-Kapelle at the front. Postcard. The group consisted of a violin, an accordion and a Stumpf fiddle or Teufelsgeige (Devil's fiddle). This last instrument was a homemade string bass, with one string, a tin can for a resonator and bowed with a notched stick.
