Description: Formation sign of the British XIII Corps in the Second World War. Two versions of the insignia existed. An 'elegant' leaping gazelle with forefeet well tucked into the body and rear legs fully extended, and a second with the gazelle in much more stylized form, prancing rather than leaping. Cole stated an earlier version existed, besides these two, in which the central white circle was an oval instead.
