Description: Yeshiva University's Schottenstein Center, located at 560 West 185th Street between St. Nicholas and Audubon Avenue in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built c.1927 as Temple Israel of Washington Heights and was designed by Sommerfeld & Steckler in the Neo-Georgian style. It later became Congregation Gates of Israel, before becoming the Schottenstein Center. Inside the building is the Florence and Sol Shenk Synagogue and the Schottenstein Theatre.
