Józef Pazdur (born November 22, 1924 – died May 7, 2015) was a Polish Roman Catholic bishop. A bishop is a high-ranking leader in the Christian church, overseeing a group of churches called a diocese. He dedicated his life to the church, serving for many years.

Early Life and Priesthood

Józef Pazdur was born in a small village in Poland. From a young age, he felt a calling to serve God. He studied hard to become a priest. In 1951, at the age of 26, he was ordained as a priest. This meant he could lead church services and help people in his community.

Becoming a Bishop

After many years of serving as a priest, Józef Pazdur was chosen for a special role. In 1984, he was named an auxiliary bishop for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Wrocław. An auxiliary bishop helps the main bishop of a large area. They assist with important duties like leading ceremonies and visiting different parishes (local churches). Wrocław is a large and historic city in Poland, and its archdiocese covers a wide region.

Retirement and Legacy

Bishop Pazdur served the church in Wrocław for many years. He helped guide the Catholic community and supported its members. In the year 2000, he retired from his active duties as a bishop.
