Early Life and Training
Jasmine Dubé was born in a town called Amqui, in Quebec. She loved theatre and learning. She studied at the Cégep de Matane and then went on to the National Theatre School of Canada. She finished her studies there in 1978, ready to start her career in the arts.
A Career in Theatre
After graduating, Jasmine Dubé worked with many theatre groups in Quebec. Some of these included the Théâtre de la Marmaille and Théâtre PÀP (Petit à Petit) in Montreal. In 1984, she performed in a special show called Caméléonne, which was a one-woman play. She also started writing her own plays. Her first play, Bouches décousues, was written in 1992.
