Jenny's Journeys facts for kids
Jenny's Journeys is a fun educational video game that came out in 1984. It was made by a group called the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium, or MECC for short. This game was made for the Apple II computer. In Jenny's Journeys, you use a compass and a map to drive a car through a town made of pixels. You play as a character named Jenny, and you give directions at every turn while 'Aunt Jenny' rides along with you. The main goal is to travel from one place to another using your map skills. The game has three different difficulty levels, so you can challenge yourself as you get better!
What the Game is About
Jenny's Journeys takes place in a made-up town called Lake City. You control Jenny, the main character, and you're joined by 'Aunt Jenny'. You get to drive Aunt Jenny's car all around Lake City. You can even pick up other characters, called NPCs, and drive them where they need to go.
How to Play
As you play, you'll need to use the map and your surroundings to figure out where you are. You'll also get addresses and have to plan the best way to get there. It's like a puzzle where you have to be a good navigator! You also need to keep an eye on your gas, so you don't run out. On the hardest level, you'll have many stops to make and sometimes even unexpected detours, which makes it even more exciting!
