Jew's harp facts for kids
The Jew's harp (also known as jaw harp or mouth harp) is a small musical instrument. It is held on the mouth and plucked. The jew’s harp is one of the oldest of musical instruments, and is played by holding it between the teeth, and plucking the flexible ‘tongue’ to produce a note. The person playing the harp changes the pitch and tone of the sound created by changing the shape of their mouth. Players do not need to be trained musicians.
