Early Political Life and Roles
Joan Reventós started his political journey early. He joined the Socialist Movement of Catalonia in 1945. This was a time when Spain was under a dictatorship.
Becoming a Minister
Later, from 1977 to 1980, Joan Reventós served as a Minister without Portfolio. This means he was a government minister without a specific department. He worked alongside other important leaders during a time of big changes in Spain.
Serving in the Spanish Parliament
In 1976, Reventós joined the PSUC, a political party. The next year, he was elected to the Spanish national parliament. He represented the Barcelona Province. He served as a deputy, or elected representative, until 1980.
Ambassador to France
