Joe Lamp'l is a well-known expert in organic gardening. He teaches people how to grow plants in a natural way. Joe is also an author, a podcast host, and a television show host and producer. He has even won an Emmy Award for his TV work!

In 2011, the American Horticultural Society gave Joe an award. It was called the B.Y. Morrison Communication Award. Joe's Gardening Journey
Joe Lamp'l has a strong background in business and horticulture (the science of growing plants). After college, he worked as a consultant, helping people with their gardens. He also used his own home garden to try out different ways of growing food for his family.
Starting on TV
One day, a friend told Joe about a TV show looking for a host. The show was on the DIY Network and was all about growing food. Joe applied and was chosen to host the new series, Fresh From the Garden.
This show was very popular. It was first planned for one season, but it ran for three years! Each episode taught viewers how to grow one edible plant, from planting the seed to harvesting the food.
After Fresh From the Garden ended, Joe hosted another gardening show on PBS. It was called GardenSMART and ran from 2006 to 2008. On this show, Joe traveled around the country visiting public gardens.
In 2009, Joe began creating a new TV series. He wanted to inspire new gardeners and teach everyone about organic methods. He also wanted to show how gardening helps the environment. This new show, called Growing a Greener World, started in 2010.
Media Work
Joe Lamp'l founded a company called Agrivana® Media, LLC. This company creates TV shows and online content. Their goal is to inspire people to care for the environment around the world.
Growing a Greener World is now in its 11th season. It is shown on American Public Television. The show features organic gardening, green living, and farm-to-table food. Each episode tells the stories of amazing people who are helping the planet through gardening. The show has won a Daytime Emmy Award. This was for an episode called The Green Bronx Machine. This episode featured Stephen Ritz, a teacher who started a program to build healthy communities through gardening.
Joe Lamp'l is also the founder and CEO of The joe gardener® Company. This company teaches people about gardening in a way that helps the environment. In 2017, Joe created the joe gardener® website. It's a great place to find videos, podcasts, and articles about organic gardening. It helps new gardeners feel confident.
In 2019, Joe launched the Online Gardening Academy™. Here, he offers online courses on many topics. These include gardening basics, starting seeds indoors, and dealing with pests and weeds.
