His role in The Lucky Star brought him even more praise. He won several awards for this film, including the Premios Ondas and the Butaca Award for Best Catalan Actor. He was also nominated for the Goya Award for Best Actor. He received two more Goya nominations for his roles in Second Skin and El cónsul de Sodoma.
Jordi Mollà started acting in Hollywood movies with the 2001 film Blow. He then appeared in the 2003 action movie Bad Boys II, alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
