Julio César Pinheiro García (born August 22, 1976) is a Brazilian former professional footballer. He played as a midfielder for many teams in different countries. He is also a naturalized citizen of Mexico.

Early Career and Mexico
Julio César Pinheiro started his professional football journey in Mexico. He first joined Celaya in 1996. He played for them for a couple of seasons, showing off his skills on the field.
Moving to Spain
In 1998, Pinheiro moved to Spain to play for Logroñés. This was a new experience for him, playing in a European league. After a short time in Spain, he returned to Mexico.
Back to Mexico and Cruz Azul
He rejoined Celaya in 1998 and continued to play well. His strong performances caught the eye of bigger clubs. From 2000 to 2003, he played for Cruz Azul, one of Mexico's most famous football teams. He was a key player for them, scoring many goals.
Another Try in Spain
In 2003, Pinheiro went back to Spain, this time to play for Osasuna in La Liga, which is Spain's top football league. However, his time there was brief.
Return to Mexico and Brazil
After his second spell in Spain, he returned to Mexico once more, joining Atlas in 2004. In 2005, he played briefly for Ponte Preta in his home country, Brazil. He then returned to Mexico to play for Monterrey and Universidad Nacional (also known as UNAM Pumas).
Playing in Japan
Julio César Pinheiro's last professional club was Kyoto Purple Sanga in Japan. He played for them in the J1 League in 2006 before ending his playing career. Throughout his career, he was known for his midfield play and his ability to score goals.
