The Kola Román is a popular soft drink from Colombia. It was first created in the city of Cartagena, Colombia way back in 1865 by a person named Don Carlos Román. When it was first made, it was a bit like a "champagne soda." Later, in the early 1900s, Don Henrique Pio Román changed the recipe to make it what it is today.
Kola Román is made and bottled by a company called Panamco FEMSA Colombia. This soda is very popular in Colombia's Caribbean region. It is also one of the oldest sodas still being made in the world!
Kola Román and Sports
Kola Román has supported many baseball teams in the Colombian Professional Baseball League. The very first Kola Román team was from Cartagena. They even won a championship in the 1956–57 season. In the 1990s, Kola Román also sponsored a team called the Vaqueros de Montería.
