Starting Her Career
Lavina O'Mealey started playing rugby league in 2009. Her first team was the Redfern All Blacks. She quickly showed her talent. By 2011, she was chosen to represent New South Wales. This is a big achievement for any player.
Playing for Australia
In 2017, Lavina joined the Jillaroos. This is the national women's rugby league team for Australia. She was part of the team that won the 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup. Lavina played an important role in this victory. She came off the bench during the final game. They played against the New Zealand team.
Playing for Top Clubs
In 2018, Lavina played for the NSW City team. This was at the National Women's Championships. Later that year, she joined the Sydney Roosters women's team. She was one of the first fifteen players signed for their new team.
