The Mi'kmaq Grand Council is a very old and important leadership group for the Mi'kmaq people in Atlantic Canada. It's like their traditional government. These District Chiefs are chosen by the local leaders in their area. Then, one of these District Chiefs is chosen to be the Grand Chief. The Grand Chief is the main leader of the entire Mi'kmaq Nation. This list tells you about the people who have held this important role.
