Luis Rosado Bretón (born in Madrid, Spain, in 1957) is a Spanish doctor and politician. He is known for his work in hospitals and his roles in the government of the Valencian Community.
Early Life and Medical Career
Luis Rosado Bretón studied medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid. He became a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine, which means he helps patients who are very sick and need constant care. His first training was at the Hospital General Universitario de Alicante in 1987.
Later, he worked at the Hospital de Villajoyosa, where he became a Deputy Director in 1995. He also served as the Medical Director for the Hospital de San Juan de Alicante and then for the Hospital General Universitario, which was the same hospital where he started his career.
Government Roles
In 2007, Luis Rosado Bretón was chosen by the Regional Minister of Health, Manuel Cervera Taulet, to be the Regional Secretary of Health. In this role, he helped manage health services for the Valencian region. He also led the Valencian Health Agency (AVS).
On June 22, 2011, he became the head of the Regional Ministry of Health, taking over from Manuel Cervera. He held this important position until December 7, 2012. After leaving his government role, he returned to working as a doctor in a hospital in Alicante in January 2013.
