Marília Dias Mendonça (born July 22, 1995 – died November 5, 2021) was a very famous Brazilian singer and songwriter. Many people in Brazil called her the Queen of Sofrência. This is a special type of sertanejo music. She was also known for helping women feel stronger and more independent through her music. She truly changed the world of sertanejo music.

In 2015, Marília released her first music collection, called an EP. She became super popular in 2016 with her first live album. This album sold 240,000 copies in Brazil. A song from this album, "Infiel," became one of the most played songs in the country. This made Marília famous all over Brazil. Her second live album, Realidade, came out in 2017. It was even nominated for a Latin Grammy award. In 2019, she released Todos os Cantos. This album won a Latin Grammy for Best Sertaneja Music Album.

Sadly, Marília Mendonça died on November 5, 2021. She was only 26 years old. She passed away in a plane crash in Piedade de Caratinga, Brazil. She was traveling to perform a concert there.
