Marco Leonel Domínguez Ramírez (born 25 February 1996) is a professional football player. He plays as a midfielder for Liga Nacional club Comunicaciones. Marco was born in Canada. He plays for the Guatemala national team.

Early Life and Training
Marco Domínguez was born in Montréal, Canada. He started playing football at a young age. He spent six years with a youth team called Braves d'Ahuntsic. He also trained with the Soccer Québec High Performance Program.
In 2013, Marco joined the Montreal Impact Academy. This is a special school for young football players. In 2016, he even trained with the youth team of an Italian club, Bologna.
Club Career Highlights
In March 2015, Marco signed his first professional contract. He joined FC Montreal, which was the second team for the Montreal Impact. He played in the USL league. His first professional game was on May 14.

In January 2017, he moved to FC Cincinnati. This team also played in the USL. He played there for one season.
Playing in Guatemala
In May 2018, Marco Domínguez signed with Antigua GFC. This club is part of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala in Guatemala. He helped Antigua win the 2019 Clausura championship.
In January 2022, he went on loan to Al-Yarmouk in Kuwait. After a short time, he returned to Antigua. In January 2023, he joined another top club in Guatemala, Mixco.
Later in May 2023, he signed with Municipal. This is another big club in the Liga Nacional. He left Municipal in June 2024.
Return to Canada
In June 2024, Marco signed with Pacific FC. This team plays in the Canadian Premier League. He made his debut on July 14. At the end of 2024, he decided to leave Pacific FC.
Joining Comunicaciones
In December 2024, Marco signed with Comunicaciones. This is a well-known club in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala. He will start playing for them in the 2025 season.
International Career
Marco Domínguez has a diverse background. His mother is from the Dominican Republic, and his father is from Guatemala. He was born in Canada.
Playing for Canada
In 2013, Marco played for the Canada U17 team. He took part in the 2013 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He even scored a goal against Trinidad and Tobago U17 in April 2013. In March 2016, he was called to play for the Canadian U20 team.
Playing for Guatemala
In January 2020, Marco was allowed to switch and play for the Guatemala national team. This means he now represents Guatemala in international football matches.

Marco Domínguez has a child. He chose to play for Pacific FC in Canada to give his family a calmer and safer place to live. He wanted a different environment for them.
