My Gym Partner's a Monkey is a fun animated TV show that aired on Cartoon Network. It's all about a human boy named Adam Lyon. Adam used to go to a regular school, but his life took a wild turn! Because of a spelling mistake (his last name "Lyon" was spelled with an "i" instead of a "y"), the principal mistakenly thought he was an animal. So, Adam was sent to Charles Darwin Middle School, a school just for animals! There, he makes lots of new and unusual friends.

Meet the Characters

At Charles Darwin Middle School, Adam meets many unique animal students and teachers. Here are some of the main characters:

  • Adam Lyon is the only human student at Charles Darwin Middle School. He is 12 years old and often finds himself in funny situations trying to fit in with his animal classmates.
  • Jake Spidermonkey is a silly and loyal monkey. He becomes Adam's best friend at school. Jake is known for wearing a red T-shirt and a blue baseball cap.
  • Ingrid Giraffe is the tallest student at the school. She is very kind and has a secret crush on Adam. Her voice is done by the talented voice actress Grey DeLisle.
  • Lupe Toucan is Ingrid's best friend. She is very energetic and speaks with a Mexican accent. Like Ingrid, her voice is also provided by Grey DeLisle.
  • Slips Python is a laid-back snake who is very trusting and believes almost anything he hears. It's a mystery how he manages to wear a shirt without any arms!
  • Virgil "Bull" Sharkowski is the school's tough guy, or bully. This shark wears braces on his teeth and special water-filled headphones to help him breathe when he's out of water.
  • Principal Pixiefrog is the principal of Charles Darwin Middle School. He is a small frog who tries his best to keep the chaotic school running smoothly.
  • Coach Gills is the gym teacher at CDMS. She is a strong and energetic fish with a very deep, manly voice.
  • Ms. Chameleon is the drama teacher. She is known for her dramatic flair and changing colors.
  • Windsor Gorilla is one of the smartest students at Charles Darwin. He is often seen with Slips, and they are close friends.
