Necip Hablemitoğlu (born November 28, 1954 – died December 18, 2002) was a Turkish historian and writer. He was a very smart person who studied many different topics. Sadly, he was killed outside his home in 2002. The people who did this have not been found yet.

His Early Life and Education
Necip Hablemitoğlu was born in Ankara, Turkey. He went to Ankara University and studied journalism. He graduated in 1977. Later, he continued his studies at the same university. He earned his master's degree and a doctorate in Turkish history.
His Family Life
Necip Hablemitoğlu was married to Şengül Hablemitoğlu. She is also a professor. They had two daughters together. Their names are Kanije and Uyvar. These names come from old forts of the Ottoman Empire.
Necip Hablemitoğlu's Work
Necip Hablemitoğlu taught at Ankara University. He taught about the ideas of Atatürk, who was the founder of modern Turkey. He was also a very active writer and researcher.
Research on Crimean Tatars
One of his first important works was a series of articles. They were called "The Deportation of the Hundreds of Thousands." These articles were about the forced movement of Crimean Tatars during World War II. This was a very brave topic to write about at the time. He later turned these articles into a book.
He also wrote other books and articles about the history of Turkic peoples. He was very interested in their culture and past. With his wife, he wrote a book about women's movements among Turkic people in Russia.
