PC Play & Learn: Learning Fun with Dan and Whizzo was a cool series of computer games made in the United Kingdom. These games helped kids learn new things while having fun! They came out in the early to mid-2000s and were part of a special subscription. Each game came on a CD-ROM disc, along with a small book and a mini binder to keep everything organized.

In these games, you got to play with four friendly dinosaur characters: Dan, his older sister Pink, their friend Delilah, and Dan's pet, Whizzo.

What Was the Gameplay Like?

In the PC Play & Learn games, you would explore different areas with the dinosaur characters. These areas were called the Play Zone, and later, the Tree House. In these fun places, you could learn basic skills like counting, playing music, recognizing letters, and much more!

As you played, you would collect pieces of dinosaur eggs. If you found four pieces, you would unlock a special dinosaur just for that game disc! For example, in the game "Let's Make Friends," you could find Sportysaurus. Each game disc had a different and exciting theme, like "Under the Sea."

Main Characters You'll Love

  • Dan – He's a green dinosaur and one of the main stars of the series. Dan was 3 years old at the start, but he turned 4 in the game "Birthday Surprise!"
  • Pink – A pink dinosaur, just like her name! She is Dan's big sister. Sometimes she can be a little bit bossy, but she's still a good friend.
  • Delilah – This orange dinosaur is a friend to both Dan and Pink. She is much taller than them!

  • Monty – He's a bus driver! You can see him in the story from the "Wheels Go Round" book.

  • Whizzo – This pinkish-red bird looks a bit like a pterodactyl. Whizzo is Dan's pet and loves to fly around a lot!

Other Fun Characters

  • Baby D – A giant, pale green dinosaur! You usually only see his big feet running around. His name was first heard in the "Under the Sea" game.
