Passu Sar stands as one of the highest mountains in the entire world. It is the 53rd highest mountain on our planet.

Where is Passu Sar Located?

Passu Sar is in the northern part of Pakistan. It is part of the huge Karakoram mountain range. This range is known for having some of the tallest mountains on Earth. The specific area where Passu Sar sits is called the Batura Muztagh subrange. This subrange is a smaller section within the larger Karakoram mountains.

How Tall is Passu Sar?

This impressive mountain reaches a height of 7,476 meters (or about 24,528 feet) above sea level. To give you an idea, that's almost as tall as five Empire State Buildings stacked on top of each other! Its great height makes it a challenging climb for even the most experienced mountaineers.

The First Climb

The first people to successfully reach the very top of Passu Sar were a team of four climbers. These brave adventurers were Dirk Naumann, Ralf Lehmann, Volker Wurnig, and Max Wallner. They made history when they completed their climb in the year 1994. Reaching the summit of such a high mountain is a huge achievement.
