Stark's Vacuum Museum, also called Stark's Vacuum Cleaner Museum, is a really cool and unusual museum. It's located in Portland, Oregon, and it's all about vacuum cleaners! This special museum is actually inside the Stark's Vacuums store.
You can explore more than 100 different vacuum cleaners here. They range from very old models, some from the late 1800s, all the way up to the 1960s. The museum area is about 10 feet (3.0 m) by 40 feet (12 m). The best part is, it's completely free to visit!
What You Can See
This museum has many interesting and unique vacuum cleaners. You might see:
- A vacuum from the 1930s made out of cardboard.
- A "Duntley Pneumatic" model that used to hang from the ceiling.
- An "Electrolux" vacuum that moved around on special runners.
- Even old hand-pumped vacuums that people had to operate by hand!
It's a fun way to see how cleaning technology has changed over many years.
