The Englishwoman's Review was a special magazine published in England. It came out from 1866 to 1910. This magazine was very important because it focused on feminism. Feminism is the idea that women and men should have equal rights and opportunities in life.
At first, until 1869, its full name was The Englishwoman's Review: a journal of woman's work. After a short break, it started again in 1870. Its new name was The Englishwoman's Review of Social and Industrial Questions.
This magazine was one of the very first feminist magazines. It was created during the early women's movement. This was a time when many people began working to improve women's rights. The first person to edit the magazine was Jessie Boucherett. She hoped it would continue the work of an older magazine called the English Woman's Journal. Other people who edited the magazine later included Caroline Ashurst Biggs, Helen Blackburn, and Antoinette Mackenzie.
