Tony Adams (born Anthony Patrick Adams; February 15, 1953 – October 22, 2005) was a talented Irish film and theater producer. A producer helps make movies or plays happen. They manage the money and people involved.

Early Life and School

Tony Adams was born in Dublin, Ireland. His father had opened one of the first movie theaters in rural Ireland back in the 1940s. This might have sparked Tony's interest in films from a young age.

When Tony was 12, he moved to Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin. He went to CBS Eblana school there. At school, Tony helped start a magazine called ARK and was its main reporter.

Starting a Career in Film

Tony Adams began his career in the movie business as a helper for director John Boorman. He worked on the film Deliverance. The main actor in that movie, Burt Reynolds, heard that Tony wanted to stay in the United States. Burt offered him a job on his ranch in Florida.

Burt Reynolds also helped Tony meet Blake Edwards in California. Tony then went to Pepperdine University. Tony Adams and Blake Edwards became good friends and worked together from 1975 until Tony's death.

Later Life and Passing

Tony Adams was married three times and had four children. He lived in a part of New York City called the Upper West Side.
