Early Life and Musical Journey

Virginia Martínez started her musical journey very early. When she was just 13 years old, she became the conductor of the "Hims Mola Children's Choir" in her hometown of Molina de Segura. She led this choir until 1999. During these years, she learned a lot about leading both choirs and orchestras. She took many special courses to improve her skills.

Studying in Vienna

In 1999, Virginia decided to study even more about conducting. She moved to Vienna, a famous city for music, to attend the Vienna Conservatory. There, she studied Orchestral Conduction. Her teachers were two well-known conductors, Reinhard Schwarz and Georg Mark. She worked very hard and finished her studies in June 2003.

First Conducting Experiences

While she was still studying, Virginia had exciting opportunities to conduct. In February 2003, she conducted a modern piece of music called Deus ex Machina. She performed this with the Group of Contemporary Music from the Vienna Conservatory. A few months later, in April 2003, she also conducted another piece called Winterlandschaft by Stefan Holl. These experiences helped her become the skilled conductor she is today.
