Voss is a popular brand of bottled water that comes from Norway. It is known for its unique cylindrical glass bottle. The water is collected from a village called Vatnestrøm in the Iveland area of Norway.
Many people think the water comes from the town of Voss, but that's not true! The actual bottling site is over 400 kilometers away from the town of Voss. You can find Voss water in two main types: still water (without bubbles) and sparkling water (with bubbles). The company's special bottle was designed by Neil Kraft.

Where Voss Water Comes From
Voss water is bottled by a company called Voss of Norway AS. This company is based in New York City, USA. The water itself comes from a specific source in Iveland, Norway.
Voss water is sold in more than 50 countries around the world. A big part of their sales are in the United States. The company states that its bottling process is completely carbon neutral. This means they try to balance out the carbon dioxide they release into the air. They do this by reducing their emissions and supporting projects that remove carbon from the atmosphere.
How Voss Water Has Been Recognized
Over the years, Voss water has received different kinds of attention. In 2007, a magazine called Women's Health gave Voss a top rating. They said it was the best among several bottled waters they tested.
However, not everyone has given it the highest marks. In Finland, a TV company called Yle did a blind taste test. Three wine experts tasted six different waters, including regular tap water from Helsinki. In this test, Voss water was rated the lowest among the six. This shows that taste can be very different for everyone!
Who Leads the Company
In 2016, a company from Thailand and China called Reignwood Group bought most of Voss. This means Reignwood Group now has control over the Voss brand. The current chairwoman of Voss is Lisa Wang. The vice chairman is John D. Shulman.
