Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster at RCDB |
The Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster is a fun roller coaster ride located at Universal Studios Florida. It was the very first roller coaster built at this park and also the first one at the entire Universal Orlando Resort. This exciting ride opened in 1999.
The idea behind the coaster is that you're taking a wild and crazy trip through Woody Woodpecker's very own nut factory! It's a great ride for families and younger thrill-seekers.
About the Ride Experience
This roller coaster takes you on a journey through Woody Woodpecker's special nut factory. Get ready for some twists and turns!
Waiting in Line
As you wait to get on the ride, you'll see cool signs with Woody Woodpecker's symbol. There are even bells you can pull that make different noises! You might also spot a sign where Woody's niece and nephew, Splinter and Knothead, are playfully arguing about who gets to sign it first.
After walking through the outdoor area, you'll enter the factory building itself. Inside, you'll line up in rows, waiting for your turn to hop into the ride vehicles.
The Coaster Adventure
Once you're seated and Woody's helpers have made sure your lap bar is secure, a bell rings! This means it's time to go. The ride train slowly leaves the station and starts to climb up a lift hill. As you get closer to the top, you'll get a great view of the KidZone area of the park.
At the very top of the hill, you'll see a sign that says "Ready or nut...Here we go!" Then, you'll hear Woody Woodpecker himself (voiced by Billy West) say "Guess who?" followed by his famous laugh.
The vehicle then speeds down a winding drop. After that, it goes up a smaller hill and makes another little drop. You'll go through several winding turns before the ride comes to a complete stop. In front of you, you'll see signs that say "STOP! TRACK ENDS! NOW!" The vehicle then slowly returns to the station, and you can exit the ride.
