One of his main subjects of study is an ancient festival called "Mondas." This Spring parade started a very long time ago, around 2200 BC, in the Celt Iberian period. It's a special tradition in the Talavera de la Reina area. He also researched other important parts of the city's history. Ballesteros also wrote articles for La Voz del Tajo newspaper.

Leading Historical Research

In 1983, Ángel Ballesteros was honored as a 'Numerary advisor' for the Provincial Institute of Toledian Studies and Investigation. This means he became an important expert for historical studies in the Toledo region.

He also founded the Data Seminary of Historic Study for Talavera de la Reina and its surrounding lands. He directed the "P. Juan de Mariana" Historic Institute. He is also a university teacher at the UNED University.
