Ángel Peralta Pineda (born March 18, 1926 – died April 7, 2018) was a very famous Spanish rejoneador. A rejoneador is a special kind of bullfighter who performs on horseback. People often called him the Centauro de las Marismas, which means "Centaur of the Marshes." He was known for his amazing skill with horses.

A Life on Horseback
Ángel Peralta first performed in public in 1945 in Seville, Spain. He made his big debut in a famous bullring called Las Ventas in Madrid in 1948. He quickly became known for his talent.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Ángel Peralta was a top star in the world of rejoneo. He even appeared in movies like That Lady (1954) and Cabriola (1960).
Working with Family
In 1972, Ángel started working closely with his brother, Rafael Peralta, and another skilled rejoneador, Manuel Vidrié. Together, they created exciting shows that featured their incredible horsemanship. One of his most memorable performances was in 1979 at the April Fair in Seville, where he achieved a great success.
Ángel Peralta continued to perform well into his seventies. Many people consider him one of the best rejoneadores of all time. In 2013, he received the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts, a very important award in Spain.
Ángel Peralta as a Writer
Besides his bullfighting career, Ángel Peralta was also a talented writer. He was known for his short, wise sayings called "cabriolas." He also wrote many poetry books. Some of his most famous writings include lyrics for traditional Spanish songs called Sevillanas. These songs have been sung by popular groups like Los Romeros de la Puebla.

- Caballo torero (1971), which he created with the painter José Manuel Capuletti.
- Cucharero, which was translated into French.
- Mi sueño con el Pájaro y el Toro (1995).

Later Years and Passing
Ángel Peralta passed away on April 7, 2018, at the age of 92. He died from breathing problems at his farm in La Puebla del Río, Seville, Spain, the same place where he was born.
