Élder Alencar Machado de Campos, often called Élder Campos or simply Élder, is a Brazilian football coach and former player. He was born on July 19, 1976. Élder played as a midfielder, a player who helps both attack and defense on the field.
Today, Élder is the manager for the Santos under-17 team. This means he helps train and guide young football players.
Élder's Playing Career
Élder Campos had a long career playing football for many different clubs. He started his journey in Brazil. He played for big teams like Vasco, Santos, Juventude, Guarani, and Criciúma. These teams play in Brazil's top football league, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
Playing Abroad
Élder also played football in other countries. He spent a season with Giannina and another with Kallithea in the Greek Super League in Greece. Later, he moved to Hungary. There, he played for a team called Lombard-Pápa. Playing in different countries helped him experience various styles of football.
Élder's Coaching Career
After his playing days, Élder decided to become a football coach. He started by working with younger teams. This allowed him to share his experience with new players.
Coaching Young Talent
Élder coached the under-15, under-17, and under-20 teams for Portuguesa Santista. He then joined Santos, a famous Brazilian club. At Santos, he worked as an assistant coach for the under-20 team. Now, he leads the Santos under-17 team as their manager. He helps young players develop their skills and passion for the game.
