Ōmi Code facts for kids
The Ōmi Code (近江令, ōmiryō), also known as the Asuka Kiyomihara Code, are Japanese laws which were written in 668-672. The code was created by Fujiwara no Kamatari.
The Ōmi Code was 22 volumes long. It was put into effect in the last year of Emperor Tenji's reign. This code was an early version of the Taihō Code of 701.
