Škoda Roomster facts for kids
The Škoda Roomster was a special kind of car made by a company called Škoda Auto. It was built from 2006 until 2015. The Roomster was designed to be roomy inside, like a small van, but still comfortable like a car. It was great for families or for carrying lots of things.
There was also a version of the Roomster made into a small delivery van. This was called the Praktik. It was used by businesses to carry goods, but it wasn't sold in the UK. Production of the Roomster stopped in 2015 because more people started buying another Škoda car called the Yeti.
What Powers the Roomster?
Cars need engines to move! The Škoda Roomster had different types of engines, which gave them different amounts of power. Here are some of the engines that were available:
- 1.2 HTP: This engine had either 64 or 69 horsepower.
- 1.2 TSI: This one was more powerful, with 86 or 105 horsepower.

- 1.2 TDI: This was a diesel engine with 75 horsepower.
- 1.4 TDI: Another diesel option, with 69 or 80 horsepower.
- 1.6 TDI: This diesel engine offered 90 or 105 horsepower.
- 1.9 TDI: The most powerful diesel engine, with 100 or 105 horsepower.
