0–9 Series facts for kids
0–9 Series is a collection of ten music albums that came out in 1989. These albums were created by ABC for Kids especially for children. The series was a big hit! It even won an ARIA Award for Best Children's Album in 1990. It was also nominated for the best album cover art that same year.
The idea behind the series was to have an album for each age, from babies (0 years old) all the way up to 9-year-olds. So, there was an album called 0 for newborns, then 1 for one-year-olds, and so on, up to 9 for nine-year-olds. Over 270 songs were recorded for these albums, with 214 of them making it onto the final CDs. Many different artists helped create these songs, including famous names like Don Spencer, Ernie Dingo, Jenny Morris, John Paul Young, Peter Combe, and Wendy Matthews. A special documentary was also made about how these albums were put together.
