11street Malaysia is a big online shopping company in Malaysia. It started as a top online shopping site in South Korea. The company, SK Planet Co., Ltd, ran the original 11street. How 11street Malaysia Started
2008: 11street Begins in Korea
11street first started in South Korea. It was managed by a company called SK Planet. The original 11street had over 400,000 sellers. It served more than 30 million customers. This company also expanded to Turkey in 2012. Later, it opened in Indonesia in March 2014.
2014: 11street Comes to Malaysia
Celcom Planet Sdn Bhd, also known as 11street Malaysia, was created in November 2014. It is a partnership between two companies. Celcom Axiata Berhad owns 49% of it. SK Planet Ltd owns 51%. Mr. Hoseok Kim was chosen to be the Chief Executive Officer of 11street Malaysia.
On December 16, 2014, Celcom Planet Sdn Bhd worked with Exabytes Network. Exabytes Network is a company that helps websites stay online in Malaysia.
2015: The Big Launch
On April 11, 2015, 11street Malaysia officially launched. They held a big event at Nu Sentral. At this event, 11street showed off some of their products and services. They also introduced their official brand ambassadors. These were famous people like Lee Min Ho and Emily Chan.
On April 24, 2015, 11street Malaysia released its mobile apps. These apps were made for both iOS and Android smartphones. Now, people could shop easily on their phones.
