This company is famous for distributing two of the biggest movies ever made: Titanic and Avatar. The name CBS/Fox changed to Fox Video in 1991, but they still used the CBS/Fox name until 1998. Then, in 1995, it was renamed 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. They also kept using the Fox Video name until 1999.

The story of this company begins with Magnetic Video Corporation. This business was created in 1968 by a person named Andre Blay. It was based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Magnetic Video was one of the very first companies to offer movies that had been shown in theaters for people to watch at home. They started doing this in 1976. A few years later, in 1979, the Fox Broadcasting Company bought Magnetic Video from Andre Blay. After that, in 1982, the company was officially renamed "20th Century Fox Video." Today, it is known as "20th Century Fox Home Entertainment."
